It was the last big job that I did, we had already sold a job for a significant amount of money. We inspected the rest of the line and found there to be more problems. I had my supervisor come out and talk with the homeowner. She was very upset with the supervisor about the pricing and how much more money it was going to be to finish the job. The supervisor left and I stayed talking to the home owner. She was telling me about how she never spent this much money in her entire life. While I was speaking to her I realized that we were using the technique all wrong. I believed that she was auditory but then quickly realized she was a kinesthetic person. She explained to me how she never spent so much money on something she couldn’t touch. So then I handed her a sample of the work we would be doing in her home, within the 10 seconds she had this in her hands she quickly changed her attitude about the work. She told me now that she sees what we’re going to be doing and she’s felt it for us to go ahead and do the work. And at the end of the job it was $20,000 that she told me she was comfortable spending with us.
